Who knew electric bills could be so inexpensive? In 1945, Dudley Snider paid $7.69 for his home and $2.00 for his fish camp for the months of January, February, and March. These electric bills are stamped paid on April 10, 1946. Included in the original envelope, is a pamphlet containing various businesses located in Rulo, Nebraska. My favorite listing?

Pretty smart marketing, if you ask me. There is also a railroad time table for the C.B & Q.R.R., Legal Holidays, and driving distances.

Rulo is a small town on the Missouri River, so it would be a great place for a Fish Camp. In my research, I've found that Dudley was born and is buriend in Rulo. His father was a blacksmith and it appears as though he was a triplet. One triplet passed at birth and his surviving triplet brother (Gottleib) served in WWII. I have not yet found evidence that Dudley served but I did find his WWII Draft Card. His brother and he registered on the same day, 16 Oct 1940.
